Homemade Organic Beard Oil in Upcycled Yogurt Jar

Homemade Beard Oil Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 oz Castor Oil
  • 1/2 oz Olive Oil
  • 1/2 oz Hempseed Oil
  • 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil or Jojoba oil 
  • Essential Oils of Your Choice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Container:

    • Ensure your upcycled Oui Yogurt Jar and its lid are thoroughly cleaned and dried before use. This will prevent any contamination in your beard oil mixture.

  2. Combine Oils:

    • In a clean, dry bowl or measuring cup, pour in 1 oz of Castor Oil, 1 oz of Olive Oil, and 1 oz of Hemp Oil. These oils will form the base of your beard oil blend.

  3. Add Vitamin E Oil and Essential Oils:

    • Measure and add 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E Oil to the mixture. Vitamin E oil helps to nourish the skin underneath the beard and provides additional benefits for hair health.
    • Add 6-10 Drops of each chosen essential oil.  In this mixture I used 10 drops of Rosemary to promote hair growth, 6 drops of cedarwood, and 4 drops of patchouli oil along with 4 drops of bergamot for a woodsy scent.  (see bottom of recipe for other recommendations) 

  4. Mix Thoroughly:

    • Use a clean spoon or stirring rod to thoroughly mix the oils together. Ensure that the Vitamin E oil is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

  5. Transfer to Container:

    • Carefully pour the mixed beard oil into your upcycled Oui Yogurt Jar. Use a funnel if necessary to avoid spills. Fill the jar almost to the top, leaving a small amount of space to prevent overflow when closing the lid.

  6. Secure Lid:

    • Once the jar is filled with the beard oil mixture, securely fasten the plastic lid. Make sure it is sealed tightly to prevent any leakage.

  7. Label and Store:

    • Consider labeling your homemade beard oil jar with the date of creation and any other desired information. Store the jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the quality of the oils.

  8. Usage:

    • To use the beard oil, simply dispense a few drops onto your palms, rub them together, and then massage the oil into your beard and the skin beneath. Adjust the amount based on the length and thickness of your beard.

  9. Enjoy:
